Don’t Let it Break You- Let it MAKE YOU!

COMMENTARY:

When an interviewer asked Muhammad Ali, (The Greatest?), why he was so confidant against the big 25-year-old undefeated heavyweight champion George Foreman, Ali surprisingly commented with a Koan, “Because he's weak; because he never lost.” History revealed that Ali was right, as he outwitted the behemoth Foreman in the famed Rumble in the Jungle to reclaim the heavyweight championship. Truly, an amazing feat!

POETIC ANALYSIS:
“Whatever dropped you to your knees-
May it drive you, to succeed.
Losing is NEVER what it seems-
Tis merely a means, to redeem.
What better motivating force-
To make you stay The Course.
Tis The Darkness, my friend-
That makes you stronger in The End!”

PARADOX ANALYSIS:
What is A Winner? If not he who refuses to identify with defeat.

Who is The Triumphant? If not he who converts failure into a catalyst to overcome.

P. S. After retiring, a decade of self-reflection, & 20 YEARS LATER- the once humiliated Rope-a-Doped, George Foreman, came back at the age of 45 to reclaim his title by defeating Michael Moorer! His feat was more magnificent than Ali’s! …Made us all wonder- Who’s THE GREATEST now? Indeed, as we watched in awe & CHEERED from the sidelines- BOTH became our TEACHERS.

Moral of the Story:Don’t Let it Break You. Let it Make you. Let it make you better than you are. When that happens- They’re gonna get to know you!

B.P.S. Bob Marley, (a’ la ‘Who de Cap Fit’) said it best: “And, if NIGHT should turn to DAY, now- A lot of people would run away, YEAH!” …From the Lookout Post.
